TENNIS - 2013 ATP World Tour
ESPN's LIVE season coverage of top-flight men's tennis draws to a close this month with the season's final ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event, the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris, followed by the ATP's version of an All-Star event, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London, a prestigious tourney open only to the eight top-ranked players (both singles and doubles) on the ATP Tour. Last year in Paris saw tough Spanish pro David Ferrer - by September almost certain to be on the court in London - defeating surprise Polish qualifier Jerzy Janowicz for the title.
The Barclays ATP World Tour Finals takes place at The O2 arena in London for a fifth straight year in 2013. Last year saw top-ranked Serbian Novak Djokovic take his sixth title of the season with a win over six-time champion Roger Federer. Certain to be joining Djokovic, Federer and Ferrer in London are Spain's Rafael Nadal, winner of an epic US Open over Djokovic, and Great Britain's Andy Murray, who became the first British male champion at Wimbledon in 77 years this season.
